Epitalon (Epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on the natural epithalamin peptide produced by the pineal gland. Research has focused on its potential to activate telomerase, the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length — a key biomarker of cellular aging. Studies by Professor Khavinson demonstrated increased telomerase activity and telomere elongation in human somatic cells.
